Ino Karella is the Founder of Animino. Born in Athens, Greece, she moved to Los Angeles where she lived and worked. In 2003 she graduated with honors from the California Institute of The Arts, created and founded by Walt Disney himself, in Character Animation, Film & Video. Previously earning a degree in Experimental Animation at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design in 2000, and a foundation course in Fine Arts, specializing in Animation at Kent Institute of Art & Design in 1997.
With over two decades of extensive experience, her work consists of a long list of international high-profile projects and collaborations as art director, production painter, character designer, storyboard artist, animator and illustrator. With clients such as Niebaum - Coppola, Carla Garapedian, Kontent films, her experience and specialisation led her to hold the position of Senior Concept Artist at Electronics Arts Los Angeles, developing games such as Medal of Honor, Lord of the Rings, Command&Conquer3, Tiberium Wars FPS (Command&Conquer) and a classified I.P. by Steven Spielberg to name a few.
Since 2009 Ino has been freelancing with Athens,Greece as her base and as of 2017 Brussels and Athens. Before founding the Animino brand in 2016, her recent clients include Icon Gaming (Creative Art Director/Producer) - the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, The Institute of Cultural Exchange, BIC®, Amstel, Stefi Productions, DDB S.A., Lynx S.A., Psichogios Publications, TopCut S.A. and the Hellenic Institute of Marine Archeology.
